As requested, here's some pics from our traditional Midsummer celebrations on this wonderful island!  ;)

The volunteers prepare the last details before it's time for the Midsommarstång to rise, an action that is performed with ropes and poles.

Clouds started gathering up when the Midsommarstång was rising. But it was still beautiful to see. And I guess we can't have perfect weather every Midsummers here ;)

Midsommarstången in all it's glory! Leaves, flowers and hand made decorations covers it, and up top we have the traditional boats and a little wooden man that circles in the wind.

Women and children wear flowers in their hair. And even the occasional dog gets some ;) Sooo cute!

Grandma is preparing the Midsummer food in the kitchen at the moment. I'm gonna go help her out a bit before enjoying the fantastic summer meal!
